When I was preparing for my civil services examinations, the Preamble was the first thing we read before starting every class. In just one paragraph, it captures the spirit, values, and intent of our entire Constitution, and reminds us what kind of nation we aspired to build.
Motivation appears in numbers, but begins inside people. I am currently doing my PhD with motivation as my research topic. Two philosophical papers—Thomas Nagel's bat and Frank Jackson's Mary's Room—changed how I think about motivation as a human experience that must be lived, not just observed.
